I Am An Instrument is a collective of musicians closely associated with Raske Plader and Livity Music. The band plays 100% improvised music, and the recordings are taken from live concerts they have performed in the Copenhagen area.

Morten McCoy (Livity Music) and Jonathan Bremer from Bremer/McCoy are members of the band alongside Steven Jess Borth II (CHLLNGR), who also plays in Livity All-Stars and the Guiding Star Orchestra. They team up with drummer/producer Stunn Gunn, who has played live with Klumben & Raske Penge and produced tracks for their latest release, “Livet.” Johannes Wamberg from the group “Tabloid” plays electric guitar, and world-renowned percussionist Eliel Lazo plays percussion. Most of the output from these improvisations tends to lean toward jazz with a dub influence. This record has caught Gilles Peterson’s attention and has received airplay on the BBC and heavy rotation on P8 Jazz here in Denmark. Only 300 copies of this record will be made. This recording is literally the first few minutes of the musicians playing as a group for the first time back in 2019.
