5 Years Of Brodie Sessions - 2024 Danish Brodie label 8-track LP

This vinyl is released to celebrate five years of Brodie Sessions. Five years of live music with artists from all around the world, of architecture and art, of opening up the Brodie house to artists and audiences and documenting it on 16mm film. This vinyl is a small testament to our five years, an excerpt of some of the songs recorded live at our sessions.

Brodie is an independent and non-commercial music platform. We create and host intimate live sessions with international artists in unique architectural spaces.

Every session is thoughtfully directed and shot on 16mm analogue film. To capture the instant energy between artist, audience, and architecture, we always record in one single take.
All sessions are shared online, and film rolls are safely archived at the Danish Film Institute.
The home and birthplace of Brodie is a private Copenhagen residence envisioned by Danish architect Lene Tranberg.

The cover artwork by Esben Weile Kjær is from the series Screen (2020) that was a part of the exhibition Complete Collapse at Andersen's Gallery in Copenhagen in 2022.

The artwork consists of gift wrapping, confetti, and photographs of collapsed dance couples from different dance marathons from the 20s and 30a The motifs are inspired se pause screens from colour TV, where stripes of the colours that the TV was capable of producing
were displayed across the screen.

The black-and-white photographs of the exhausted couples lay atop the colours as an echo from a different time.
The young couples often danced to make money for Hollywood castings, and many dreamed of becoming famous artists.
