‘Lost Paradise’ was the band’s debut album, released in 1990 & one of the early highlights in the formative years of Peaceville. Featuring more death metal influences, Paradise Lost created a dark & atmospheric style of death metal as opposed to one based on speed, with the sombre guitar leads of Gregor Mackintosh permeating through the compositions. 'Lost Paradise' was recorded at the famous Academy Studios (My Dying Bride, Anathema, Cradle of Filth) in Yorkshire, England & stands as an undeniable classic of UK death/doom metal. This edition of 'Lost Paradise' coincides with the 35th anniversary of the release & contains remastered audio courtesy of Jaime Gomez at Orgone Studios.
