This Is Music: The Singles - 2025 Virgin Label 14-track 2LP Set

This Is Music: The Singles is a compilation album by the English alternative rock band The Verve, which includes Richard Ashcroft on vocals, Pete Salisbury on drums, Simon Jones on bass, and Nick McCabe on guitar. Initially released in November 2004, it included two bonus tracks from the sessions of their third album, Urban Hymns: "This Could Be My Moment" and "Monte Carlo."

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2024, this edition marks the first time the album has been available on vinyl. Under the band's supervision, this reissue omits the original bonus tracks in favor of including standout singles from their 2008 reunion album, Forth - "Love Is Noise" and "Rather Be." Additionally, the collection now features the original eight-and-a-half-minute version of their second single, "She's a Superstar" (1992), instead of the previously used five-minute edit. This updated tracklist presents a more comprehensive anthology of The Verve's singles.

Notably, this new vinyl release includes one of the band's most iconic tracks, "Bitter Sweet Symphony," ensuring that the album now provides a definitive collection of The Verve's singles. This special edition is released as a 2xLP set.
