2023 European Mercury label Remastered 7-track 2LP reissue of southern rockers phenomonal 3rd album recorded live over the course of three nights in March 1971 at concert promoter Bill Graham New York City music venue Fillmore East - and subsequently released by Capricorn Records featuring the band performing extended jam versions of songs such as "Whipping Post", "You Don't Love Me" and "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed." - produced by Tom Dowd.
The album was much later awarded five out of five stars by rAllMusic editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine who wrote that the album "... remains the pinnacle of the Allmans and Southern rock at its most elastic, bluesy, and jazzy."
Mark Kemp commented that "these shows [...] remain the finest live rock performance ever committed to vinyl", and the album "captures America's best blues-rock band at its peak" in his 2002 review for the Rolling Stone magazine.
