my quintet for ten years and although we have made the studio album “Kresten Osgood Quintet Plays Jazz”, I felt it was time to capture the rowdiness of our live performances. I arranged three midnight concerts at H15 studio in The Meatpacking District in central Copenhagen. Three consecutive nights during the Copenhagen Jazz Festival 2023 - all the members of the band had been playing several other gigs before this hit and were warm and worn. We had a full house each night and the shows are already now legendary. We immediately knew that this was special. The audience was screaming, whispering, laughing and crying. I came home with 42 tracks..most of them different tunes because over the years we have accumulated a huge repertoire and had agreed to record one take of each. I picked the nine I liked the best, and here you have in your hand the best of the best performances from my quintet in a steamy club in the heart of Copenhagen way past midnight.
