Spleen United gives off a new sound with trippy, obscured and warm energy on 'The Blur of Zebras' - the group's first release in 12 years, which will be released on 23 August!

'The Blur of Zebras' is Spleen United in trip mode. But not as you would expect. The room you enter is still blurry, dreamy and escapist, but the frantic waves of the strobe light have been replaced by a warmer, calmer glow. Out of chaos and into the sun the next day.

Bjarke Niemann & co. has been one of the country's most influential bands for nearly 20 years. They debuted in 2005 with an album that demanded the listener's full attention from start to finish. And they do that to the same extent on 'The Blur of Zebras', which 12 years after the group's last album zones out in a renewed, relaxed pace - back to the starting point and into a free energy!

Ever since 2019, when Spleen United rose from the ashes of the burned-out machines from a fabled Northside concert six years before, the group - in original line-up - has played one sold-out concert after another, garnering top five and six star reviews in a row. In 2022, for the first time in more than ten years, they released a new sound, with the electronic and sample-heavy singles 'Eat The Rich' and 'The Real Thing', which were followed up by a series of large indoor concerts .

The release of 'The Blur of Zebras' is marked the following day, when on Saturday 24 August they give two sold-out shows at the Opera in Copenhagen. Here, Spleen United will perform a concert divided into two sets: the first with the premiere of the new album, while the second set delves into the back catalog of songs from the Gold-selling debut, 'Godspeed Into the Mainstream', the #1 album, 'Neanderthal ', and the seminal DMA honoree, 'School of Euphoria'.

Spleen United consists of Bjarke Niemann (vocals), Gaute Niemann (bass), Kasper Nørlund (synths), Rune Wehner (synths) and Jens Kinch (drums). 'The Blur of Zebras' is released on United Records.
