The fourth album by artful songcraftsman Bill Callahan under his Smog minoker - originally released in 1995 with Jim O'Rourke appeared as cellist on this album, his first collaboration with Smog. Drag City's producer Rian Murphy helped to develop a wider musical palette than its predecessor Julius Caesar... a little less roughness, a little less lo fi -towards a more hypnotic blend of chamber music and indie rock.
