1995 German Maverick/Warner Bros. 14-track CD album - a compilation of Madonna’s Greatest Ballad Hits. After the backlash of the Erotica period, it was time to turn focus back to Madonna’s music again. Also she wanted to change her reputation towards a more serious artists and away from the more carnally loaded scandals of the era. Following this was her role as Eva Peron in the film adaption of the musical Evita.

The album contains 3 new songs I Want You, You’ll See and One More Chance and also contains I’ll Remember and This Used To Be My Playground, which had never been included on any Madonna albums before this compilation.

The album was a commercial success reaching no. 1 in Australia, Finland, Austria, Italy and Singapore, while peaking inside the Top 10 in most other countries selling more than 10 million copies worldwide.

Black printed white disc is mounted on a white tray in a standard jewelcase along with 3-panel front insert and back insert which has a floral design as opposed to the versions displaying a Versace clad Madonna
