Rare 2019 European Parlophone label promotional issue 9-track mono 45 r.p.m. 4 x 7" box set - manufactured to promote the single box which was a part of the 2019 celebration marking 50 years anniversary of David Bowies self titled 1969 album... also known as Space Oddity.

The recordings are, for the most part, solo vocal and acoustic home demo performances, and aside from a brief streaming stint, they’ve never been officially available. Additional info on each track is placed below the song in the tracklisting.

The design of each single label is presented to reflect the way David sent many of his demos to publishers and record companies, featuring his own handwritten song titles on EMIDISC acetate labels. Each disc is housed in a generic white die-cut card outer sleeve... all held together by a white printed black bellyband with artist and title info. This promotional issue comes without any prior artwork than the belly band and the 7" Singles are as such the same as the commercially availiable Box Set singles.

Condition: 4xM- (Vinyls and Labels)/3xM- (Sleeves)/M- (Belly Band):
Vinyls looks unused - unpleyed and unhandled - perfect. The generic white sleeves are without any signs of storage or handling - the belly band mint.

Tracklisting:

7" Single 1:

Side 1.
1. Mother Grey (Demo) 2:57
This mid-tempo tale of a fledgling son fleeing the nest features multi-tracked vocals, guitars and harmonica from Bowie.

Side 2.
1. In The Heat Of The Morning (Demo) 2:59
A well-known early Bowie song but presented here in demo form with final lyrics.

7" Single 2:

Side 3.
1. Goodbye 3D (Threepenny) Joe (Demo) 3:18
A charming demo from 1968 not to be confused with "Threepenny Pierrot," a song performed by Bowie captured for posterity in the Scottish TV production of Pierrot In Turquoise early in 1970.

Side 4.
1. Love All Around (Demo) 2:48
A delightful love song from whence the title of this collection came: "I see a pop tune spying through a keyhole from the other room."

7" Single 3:

Side 5.
1. London Bye, Ta-Ta (Demo) 3:28
An early demo version of the song with completely different lyrics in a couple of the verses compared to those of the later full band versions.

Side 6.
1. Angel Angel Grubby Face (Demo Version 1) 2:30
The first and only previously known demo of this song.

7" Single 4:

Side 7.
1. Angel Angel Grubby Face (Demo Version 2) 2:36
A later version of the same song with alternative lyrics.

Side 2:
1. Space Oddity (Demo Excerpt) 2:36
The lyric and arrangement variations lend weight to the theory that this fragment is possibly the first ever recorded demo of one of Bowie's most famous songs.

2. Space Oddity (Demo w/Hutch) 4:00
Originally conceived as a song for a duo to perform, this is the first known version to feature John 'Hutch' Hutchinson again with lyric and arrangement variations.
