Giant Steps - Start 1960ies Danish Atlantic Label 7-track LP

Rare early 1960ies Danish Atlantic label 7-track mono LP - the 2nd Danish pressing of American jazz saxophonists 1960 album - mostly recorded with Paul Chambers on double bass, Tommy Flanagan on piano, and Art Taylor on drums.

Vinyl has the generic upper orange and lower purple company label displaying the mid-white banne featuring company name, side numbering and 'fan' logo - housed in a 1-piece laminated Bent Ibsen Offset picture cover with upper and lower extention flips glued along top and bottom.  

Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover):

Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a very faintly speckled translucent appearance from the not so thorough carbon dyeing... this is a result of the fabrication method of the time and has not affected grading. Vinyl has otherwise only a marginal degree of sleeve inflicted scuffing - in itself graded close to near mint/excellent. Side 1 has a single, simple, light and superficial spinedle trace... Side 2 possibly two. Labels are near mint.

Cover has a neat front and back - clean crispy laminate with only the faintest wear... hardly any age spotting. Cover has a couple of faint laminate only creases from spine, intact seams except for a marginal mid-spine pressure point and hardly worn corners... opening edges has only very faint rubbing. All in all a simply extremely attractive cover - graded close to near mint/excellent... overall a copy that looks like it was played once or twice... and then stored.

EX & 2. is machine stamped - otherwise handetched matrix info. Matrix typeface looks very much like the original US Atlantic laquer cutting except for the additional machine stamped EX & 2. Pointing towards a laquer cutting done in the US for pressing in Denmark... like itwas customary at the time with Danish Atlantic pressing.
