2017 reissue of John Coltranes 1960 iconic classic  -  features "Naima" and "Syeeda's Song Flute" - respectively named after Coltrane's wife at the time and her daughter, whom he adopted. A third, "Mr. P.C.", takes its name from the initials of bassist Paul Chambers, who played on the album. Downbeat which noted, "With no alternate takes and presented verbatim and presented as the albums were originally issued song-by-song, there is certainly a warmth, clarity and a sense of wholeness that can give new fans a fresh way to listen to Coltrane."

 

DOL is a budget label - pressed onto 180 gram virgin vinyl - housed in a gatefold picture cover featuring the original 1960 artwork
