Let's Dance - 2018 European Parlophone label Remastered 180 gram Vinyl 8-track LP Reissue

2019 reissue of David Bowie 1983 album... not surprising that this has been labelled new wave and dance influenced post disco as it was recorded with co-founder, guitarist and head architect of the New York City based soul-funk-disco combo Chic... the albums features a then unknown Stivie Ray Vaughan... responsible for much of the albums guitar work. Let's Dance features a cover version of Iggy Pop's "China Girl", which Bowie and Pop recorded together for Pop's The Idiot album from 1977 as well as Metro's "Criminal World",.. Let's Dance also features a reworking of "Cat People (Putting Out Fire)", originally recorded Bowie and Giorgio Moroder in 1982 for the film Cat People.  

"Let's Dance" was the lead single and reached No. 1 in the UK and the US - 'Modern Love' and 'China Girl', both reached No. 2 in the UK. 'Cat People' had reached number one status in Scandinavia a year earlier.

Vinyl is remastered and pressed onto 180 gram heavyweight vinyl - housed in a lyrics and credits inner sleeve - ultimately in a picture cover reproducing the original 19873 artwork.
