On his new album, The Future Bites, Steven Wilson explores how the human brain has evolved in the Internet age. It is conceptual design created for the ultra-modern consumer.

Where 2017's To The Bone addressed the growing problems of fake news and failing credibility in the media landscape, The Future Bites is an auditory tale of completely unheard of and unstoppable shopping cravings, manipulative social media and the loss of our individuality. It may sound like a dark vision of an impending dystopia, but it is basically just a curious but critical reading of the reality we in many ways are already in.

Musically, The Future Bites shines with Steven Wilson's sublime production. There are beautiful electronic sounds distorted by human intervention, airy acoustic instrumentation looking up towards the stratosphere, and there are rumbling bass-powered Motorik grooves. It is undoubtedly Steven's most brilliant work to date. The album is produced in London in a collaboration between David Kosten (Bat For Lashes, Everything Everything) and Steven Wilson himself - featuring the singles "Personal Shopper", "Eminent Sleaze", "King Ghost", "12 Things I Forgot" and "Man of the People".

This is the limited edition White Vinyl issue - accompanied by 16-page booklet - housed in printed inner sleeves in a gatefold picture cover... ultimately in a wide spined, partially glossy picture card slipcover
