Hoboken, New Jersey, born crooners 9th studio album... prictically all the songs are from canon of significant early-20th-century American jazz standards and popular songs, The Great American Songbook, with arrangements by Nelson Riddle. This is the first of Sinatras concept albums themed on loneliness, introspection, lost love, failed relationships, depression and night life... all the stuff that great ballads are made of... and a concept that Sinatra would follow on "Songs for Swingin' Lovers!" and "Only the Lonely."

Direct metal mastered and pressed on 180 gram vinyl - comprises the bonus track "Stormy Weather" - housed in the classic picture cover portraying Sinatra on an eerie and deserted street awash in blue-tinged street lights.
