I Still Carry On - Rare 1991 Dutch Sony Music Manufacturing 2-track vinyl testpressing 7"

Very rare authentic 1991 Dutch pressed 2-track vinyl testpressing 7" Single - the 1st single from Danish soft-rockcombos debut studio album - also featuring the non-album track "Gone After Midnight".

Vinyl has plain white labels with handwritten 'A' and 'AA' side indicators as well as machine stamped (ms) and handetched (he) matrix info:
Side 1: 08 12043 00 2A1 MDS 499 (ms) A (he)
Side 2: 08 12043 00 2B1 MDS 499 (ms) A (he)

The '08 12043 00' suggest that this vinyl 7" was manufactured by Sony Music International Manufacturing and Service Center in Harlem - the 2A1/2B1 suggest that a mastering before this exists - it was just not approved for further manufacturing - this is as such the first approved 7" testpress - manufactured from the 2nd mastering cycle but first set of father, mothers and stampers. The 'MDS 499' print is the catalogue number given the manufacturor by Medley... often pressed in the deadwax after the pressing plants typeface.

Vinyl is as such only identifiable through the matrix info... and the overall listening off course... housed in a plain white sleeve withhandwritten data: "MLTR 2. test godkendt' along with tracklisting -  one of a very few copies - within all probability not exceeding a total of 5 - 10 copies.

Testpressings were manufactured for sound approval purposes only - always prior to commercial production. Testpressings is as such always the very earliest copies pressed - from the otherwise completely unused stamper. Approved testpressings are not just extremely rare - they are also the best sounding version or press that you will be able to dig up.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl)/M- (Labels)/VG++ (Sleeve):

Superb condition copy. Bright and shiny vinyl - hardly any signs of play or handling. Labels are mint. Sleeve has likewise hardlyany signs of handling - unsmothered handwritten data - graded near mint - hard to find - impossible this nice.
