My Blue Angel (Radio Mix) - Rare authentic 1991 Dutch Sony Music 3-track Vinyl Testpressing 12"

Very rare authentic 1991 Dutch pressed 3-track vinyl testpressing 12" for Danish soft-rockcombos first 12" Single manufactured for promotional use only - targeting Radio Stations throughout Denmark. The 12" was as such never issued as acommercially availiable 12" and features the Radio Mix of 'My Blue Angel" as well as the standard album versions of 'My Blue Angel' and 'I Still Carry On'... which ended up as their 2nd single from the album.

Vinyl has plain white labels and machine stamped (ms) and handetched (he) matrix info:
Side 1: 08 26060 20 2A1 MDX 506 (ms) A (he)
Side 2: 08 26060 20 2B1 MDX 506 (ms) A (he)

The '08 26034 20' suggest that this vinyl was manufactured by Sony Music International Manufacturing and Service Center in Harlem - the machine stamped 2A1/2B1 and handetched 'A' confirms that this was manufactured from the 2nd mastering cycle, first set of father, mothers and stampers... that this is as such the authentic approved testpressing - probably following a run of unapproved testpressings with 1A1/1B1 matrix endings. The 'MDX 506' print is Medleys catalogue number... sometimes pressed in the deadwax after thepressing plants systematic ID.

Vinyl is as such only identifiable through the matrix info... and the overall listening off course... housed in a custom plain white polylined inner sleeve with handwritten data: "MLTR MDX 506 2ND TP" -  as well as a tracklisting. This is one of a very few copies - within all probability not exceeding a total of 5 - 10 copies.

Testpressings were manufactured for sound approval purposes only - always prior to commercial production. Testpressings is as such always the very earliest copies pressed - from the otherwise completely unused stamper. Approved testpressings are not just extremely rare - they are also the best sounding version or press that you will be able to dig up.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl)/VG++ (Labels)/Generic:

Superb condition copy. Bright and shiny vinyl - a single hardly noticeable, light and inaudible hairline on side 1 - otherwise mint. Labels has a single or two slightly scattered spindletraces - a couple of small areas of discolouration... which must be contributed to manufacturing - otherwise mint labels. Hard to find in any condition - impossible this nice.

The three songs are mixed At: A&M Recording Studios/Hollywood, CA.
