It'll End In Tears - 2018 UK 4AD label Deluxe Edition 12-track LP

2018 deluxe vinyl version of British etheral wave music collectives debut album - originally released in 1984 and revolving around 4AD label founder Ivo Watts-Russell featuring Cocteau Twins' Elizabeth Frasers sublime cover version of Tim Buckleys 'Song To The Siren'... cited by David Lynch as the direct inspiration for Julee Cruise's first two albums... as well as Roy Harpers 'Another Day'. A couple of songs from Big Star's 'Third/Sister Lovers' surfaces on 'It'll End In Tears' - a version of "Kangaroo" featuring Cindytalk vocalist Gordon Sharp that sounds even druggier and more disorienting than the original, and a chilling piano and strings version of 'Holocaust' with haunted vocals by Howard Devoto - Dean Can Dance vocalist Lisa Gerrard delivers the exclusive tracks 'Waves Become Wings' and 'Dreams Made Flesh'... and... and... contributions from all over the 4AD rooster... members of Colourbox and post punk combos Xmal Deutschland and The Wolfgang Press.  

The album has been remastered from the original analogue studio tapes in 2010 and is delivered in a gatefold picture cover... as opposed to the original pressing which was housed in a single pocket cover.
