The Unique Thelonious - Original 1957 UK London label 7-track LP

Rare original 1957 UK London label 7-track LP - the UK issue of Monk magbnificent 2nd album for Riverside issued the year before in the US... essentially a collection of standards recorded featuring pianist and bandleaders superb interplay with Art Blakey on drums and Oscar Pettiford on bass.

Vinyl has the generic red and silver "American Jazz Recording" company labels with large capital lettering company name at top - housed in a fully laminated flipback picture cover, featuring alternate artwork to the American release. Cover has "W.B. 5/578" print on lower right extention flip.

Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+(+) (Cover):

Vinyl is wonderfully lustrous - has a couple of very slight and far from audible surface marks... otherwise perfect. Lavbels has what looks like in the area of a handfull or less superficial and light but slightly scattered spindle traces. Labels are graded near mint - vinyl is close to near mint/excellent.

Front cover center has almost no wear to the laminate - three ca 1 - 1,5 cm's wrinkles transcends from spine surrounded by a little laminate lift. The a little laminate lift along a thin lower spine area as well as along front opening - ca 1 x 3 cm laminate shelling along mid-lower front opening.

There is just a little rubbing towards the end of the top back extention flip - back is otherwise extremely clean. 

Seams are extremely nice - a couple of tiny points of shelling at the origin of a couple of the front wrinkles - otherwise perfect. Opening edges are almost withoutrubbing. Corners are likewise nice - a touch of rubbing to spine and lower corners - top opening corner is extremely close to mint.

Cover is overall graded close to near mint/excellent.
