Rare mid-1964 Parlophone label 14-track stereo LP of the The Beatles' 1963 debut album.

This one is sometimes referred to as the 5th stereo pressing.
Vinyl has the generic black & yellow company labels with 'The Parlophone Co. Ltd.', Recording first published 1963' & 'Sold in UK...' label texts.

Label has the more tight design lifting the title and continous tracklisting up towards center hole. 'Stereo' text is mid-sized and Side 2 label only has a faint KT taxcode.

Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: YEX 94-1, mother/stamper 1 RA
Side 2: YEX 95-1, mother/stamper 1 GL
this is as such a copy manufactured from the first master matrices, very first mothers and early stampers.

Vinyl is held in an original era specific 'Use Emitex' inner sleeve - ultimately in a front laminated Garrod & Lofthouse manufactured flipback picture cover.

Cover has rounded extension flips, upper front "Stereo" text in mid-sized font and back 'Patents Pending' lower extension flip text.

Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl)/VG+ Labels/VG+ (Cover):

Vinyl is still right and shiny - Side 1 has a single small and inaudible mark paired with a lighter degree of sleeve scuffing - Side 2 has some degree of scuffing.

Labels has a lighter degree of spindles traces - by far mostly placed within the center ring - just a little wear to center hole itself. Side 1 labels has a white spot... probably a dymo tear? next to center hole.

Vinyl is overall graded VG+ and sound great - no clicks? just a touch of crackling in the soundless passages - which easily drowns in the vibrant dynamics and great volume.

Cover has a very nice front - a few wrinkles from edges or along front opening but otherwise without laminate wear or damage - front would in itself be a very nice upper VG+ bordering to excellent.

Back has some degree of age smudging or age discolouration - especially towards mid-opening and mid-spine. Back has scribbles from previous owner at 9 of 14 tracks? which lowers the cover grading to straight VG.
Seams are nicely intact though, spine almost undamaged and easily readable - opening has very little rubbing - corners has the lightest degree of rubbing or denting? not a perfect copy in any way, but still simply very nice.
