The Soul Album - Original 1966 US Volt label 11-track LP

Rare original 1966 US Volt label 11-track stereo LP ? the 4rth album by incredibly gifted Dawson, GA, born southern soul singer/songwriter.

Bruce Eder wrote that "... The Soul Album shows him moving from strength to strength in a string of high-energy, sweaty soul performances, interspersing his own songs with work by..." in his Allmusic review and continued "...but as an interpreter he was now without peer, and his albums were now showing this remarkable, stunningly high level of consistency."

Vinyl has the generic yellow and black printed company labels with top fat, capital lettering company name above 'electric discharge' logo - vinyl is housed in a thick, back pasted picture cover with back lower 'Atco Dstribition' '1841 Broadway' address.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyls and Labels)/VG+(+) (Cover):
Vinyl is in wonderful condition - bright, shiny and with hardly any sleeve wear and mint labels - easily graded near mint.

Cover is still in its original shrink wrapping - perfect except for a minor top opening corner dent and a more pronounced lower spine corner dent inflicting a dew cover ripples in the immediate corner area. Cover is overall graded close to near mint/excellent - a simply superb copy.
