2016 European Pink Floyd label/Parlophone distribution 5-track LP - British progressive rock groups tenth album - a concept album dealing with late 1970ies UK social and political conditions and power structures - "the apparent social and moral decay of society, likening the human condition to that of mere animals."*
Pitchfork?s James P. Wisdom wrote: "... within this impenetrable fortress of radio- unfriendly tracks, we hear Dave Gilmour's guitars at their absolute best, get a full-on dose of Roger Waters' powerful lyrical imagery, and are presented with the worst elements of our own humanity- packaged in the skins of "Sheep," "Dogs" and "Pigs (Three Different Ones)" and concludes "Animals is like George Orwell's Animal Farm run through a full- audio acid test- spectacular in every aspect and now in full color."

The album is remastered by long time Pink Floyd producers and engineers, James Guthrie and Joel Plante - along with legendary mastering engineer Bernie Grundman and subsequently manufactured on heavyweight - 180 g - vinyl by the Dutch Record Industry pressing facility.
Vinyl is manufactured with artwork identical to the original 1977 issue - 'animals' motif picture labels - and housed in a cardboard lyric and credits inner sleeve with rounded corners - ultimately in a gatefold cover with large hype and tracklisting sticker on front shrinkwrapping.
