Rare original 1972 UK Vertigo Records 1st pressing LP - Britsh country and folk-rock musicians and ex. Fairport Convention members 2nd solo effort - recorded with former Fairport Convention bandmate Richard Thompson - on guitar and accordion - as well as members of Matthews Southern Comfort and Plainsong.

Vinyl has the generic company swirl labels with the full Side 1 'swirl' logo label and the smaller 'swirl' logo above outline 'Vertigo' text and centre hole on the tracklisting label.

Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: 6360056 1Y//1 V 420 1 1 5
Side 2: 6360056 2Y//1 V 420 1 1 1
Suggesting that this copy was manufactured from the first master matrice, first set of fathers and mothers - a very early stamper for Side 1, the very first stamper for Side 2. A genuine 1st pressing.

Vinyl is housed in a generic polylined company inner sleeve with 0372 text - supporting the thought that this is amongst the first copies distributed.
Vinyl is ultimately housed in a slightly textured gatefold picture cover.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover):

Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a touch of sleeve inflicted wear, but by far nothing needle inflicted. Vinyl itself is graded near mint.

Labels has a light degree of slightly complex spindletraces placed in the immediate surroundings of the centre hole - likewise graded near mint.

Cover is nice - a little edge and corners rubbing - hardly any wear along vinyl outline - very nice and graded near mint - not an overly rare album, but very hard to come by this nice.
