Rare original 1971 UK Topic label 10-track LP - the debut album by immensely talented and influential British folk singer - featuring a couple of her own compositions but otherwise mostly traditional unaccompanied songs carried by Briggs passionate, breathtakingly pure and beautiful voice - and a couple with bouzouki and acoustic guitar accompaniment.
Vinyl has the generic navy blue and silver printed company labels with top capital lettering name-logo in large font.
Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: 407.A1-A, mother/stamper 1 N
Side 2: 407.B1-A, mother/stamper 1 N
Vinyl is housed in a Robert Stace printed picture cover laminated on front and over the spine.
Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+(+)(Cover)
Vinyl is outstanding - bright and lustrous and with hardly any sleeve inflicted wear. Side 1 label has a single short, superficial and simple spindletrace in the immediate surrounding of the center hole - Side 2 three or four.
Vinyl is overall graded near mint.
Cover has a few smaller wrinkles from spine, a handful slightly longer ones from top and bottom seam and a single ca 3 cm one along top-left vinyl outline. Front cover has otherwise bright and intyact laminate with deep, unfaded brown printing underneath. Front cover has a few short and thin stretches of laminate lift along spine.
Back cover has just a touch of ringwear.
Seams are straight and without splits or pressure point - spine is hardly pressurized and easily readable - opening edges without rubbing. Corners are perfectly pointy - this is a very nice copy which has only more marginal imperfections - which has no real influence of the xperience of the cover - graded at least VG+.
