Cherished Memories - Original 1962 UK Liberty label 1st Pressing 14-track LP - Promotional Issue

Rare original 1962 UK Liberty label 1st pressing 14-track LP - featuring tracks from posthumously released US 3rd album 'Never To Be Forgotten' - which was nebver issued in Europe - as well as tracks previously only released as singles and EP's.

Vinyl is released on the generic black and silver company labels with side integrated 'Statue Of Liberty' and 'Shield' logo. This is the first pressing before the 'Recording First Published' text was added to the label design.

Side 2label has the small 'Factory Sample - Not For Sale' promotional issue sticker - suggesting that this copy is an extremely early pressing.

Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: LBY 1109A-1N, mother /stamper 1N
Side 2: LBY 1109B-1N, mother /stamper 1N
Stressing that this copy as one manufactured from the first set of acetates/master matrices, the first set of mothers and the very first set of stampers - within the first 300 copies pressed.

Vinyl is housed in a generic era specific company inner sleeve - ultimately in a picture cover manufactured by Ernest J. Day & Co, London - laminated on front and over the spine as well as top and bottom extension flips.

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+ (Cover):
Vinyl is bright and shiny has some degree of light and not so light but altogether inaudible surface lines - paired with a little fine and superficial sleeve inflicted wear.

Labels has 3 - 4 handful of light and slightly scattered spindletraces - by far mostly within the centre ring.

Labels are graded close to near mint/excellent - vinyl overall VG+.

Cover has a beautiful front - a touch of wear to laminate surface only, a few wrinkles from edge, a couple of fine and thin stretches of laminate lift along bottom seam and a deep wrinkles form a lower opening corner dent.

Francis & Monahan Inc.'s superb and classic cover designs comes through uninterrupted though - sharp motif and fine and deep colours beneath the mostly supershiny surface.

Back is likewise very nice - has a small spot of sticker glue residue in the lower spine corner and just hints of age discolouration in a thin line along mid-opening. Extension flips are undamaged and text is clear.

Cover has a 1 cm split against lower opening - but otherwise tight, straight and undamaged seams.
Spine and upper corners has either very marginal rubbing or just very mild dents.
All in all a simply very nice cover - way above average and conservatively graded straight VG+.
