The Solo Collection - Rare 10CD/2DVD Box Set

Rare 2000 Parlophone label 12-Disc CD/DVD box set - a quite stunning and incredible detailed box comprising British singer and songwriter and Queen lead vocalists two studio albums and singles as well as a disc of instrumentals, numerous rare tracks - 128 tracks spanning from the period before joining up with Queen up through the 1993 No More Brothers remixes. The box also features a set of interviews conducted by David Wigg and the DVD's 'The Video Collection' & 'The Untold Story' documentary.

Picture discs are mounted on the reverse of front and back hard cover of an 120-page book featuring tons of photos of which many are previously unpublished, an in depth biography written by NME, The Face and The Guardian journalist Sean O'Hagan, transcripts of interviews, lyrics, recording details and much, much more - Book is held in a glossy deluxe 16" x 12" silver embossed metallic-glossy cobber slipcase - complete with spine cover.

Previous owner told us at the time of purchase that the box was practically unused - discs are unplayed, book opened and carefully leafed through - spine cover has been cut in the bottom and inserted in the box - then just stored.
Discs are mint, pages without signs of handling - cover mint. Slipcase has a single ca 1 mm nick or point of rubbing - otherwise mint.
A couple of cm's of the Ca OBI like spine cover has been cut off to make it an easy fit into slicase - hence obliterating part of the barcode and release information - hence the VG grading for this part of the box - overall a superb copy though.
