The Beatles' Story - 1976 Japanese Apple label 2nd Issue 17-track 2-LP box set

Rare original 1976 Japanese Apple label 2nd issue 17-track stereo 2-LP box set - originally the sixth album by the Beatles in the United States issued in 1964 and in Japan in 1971 - a documentary album featuring interviews, press conferences, and song snippets with voice-overs dokumenting Beatlemania.

Vinyls are manufactured with the generic full apple motif labels on Side 1 & 3 and sliced apple motif on Side 2 & 4 labels.

Vinyls are held in sturdy 'A Hard Days Night' motif picture covers held in blue and green border colours.

Vinyls are accompanied by superb 24-page booklet held in same - but red - design as sleeves - featuring biographies mixed with lyrics from their hit records, interviews with The Beatles members and their fans and more. Booklet features great period photography and text are printed in both Japanese and English.

Everything is held in a sturdy, grey front pasted picture box with spine and lower back text held in white.

Vinyls are sublimely shiny and without any signs of play or handling what so ever - just superbright and with perfect labels. Mint.

Sleeves are likewise perfect.

Booklet is exceptionally close to mint and has hardly any signs of handling - easily graded near mint.

Front cover slick is near mint with just a touch of age discolouration. Bock box has a couple of cm's mid-strip of rubbing.

Spine and lower back print is perfect - spine itself has a little lower stain and wrinkle in the same area - lower seam a saw cut.
Box has light corners and occasional lid-edge ribbing - no splits though. Apart from the saw cut a very nice box - overall graded VG+.
