Hot Rod Hootenanny - Original 1963 US Capitol label 12-track LP

Rare original 1963 US Capitol label 12-track LP - a surf and drag album centered around the voice of late 1950s and 1960s key figure in Southern California's Kustom Kulture and hot-rod movement and Rat Fink icon creator, Ed "Big Daddy" Roth - recorded with cream of the crop Los Angeles sessions musicians including Hal Blaine on drums, Glen Campbell on guitar and pianist Leon Russel - the album was overseen by Beach Boys associate Gary Usher.

Vinyl has the generic black company labels with rainbow rim and upper oval company logo - housed in a generic company add inner sleeve - ultimately in a backpasted picture cover.

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+ (Cover):
Vinyl still retains its original lustre and has a very few light and superficial marks combined with a little sleeve wear - by far nothing serious. Labels are perfect and vinyl is overall at least a very nice VG+.

Front and back cover has almost no wear and a touch of age discolouration along lower back spine.
Previous owner did a very nice job of repairing a half split bottom seam leaving only ca 1 cm worn seams/denting against upper and lower opening ? lower spine area has signs of pressure or splitting - maybe this is a nicely repaired area as well. Seams are otherwise intact and spine overall easily readable, opening without rubbing ? cover is graded straight VG+ - a nice copy of this hard to find surf & drag novelty album.
