Rare original 1959 Danish Debut label 6-track LP featuring Bud Powell's magnificent piano trio set with Charlie Mingus on bass and drummer Max Roach alongside trumpetist Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker on alto saxophone - the concert at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada on May 15, 1953 is legendary - 'Charlie Parker performed on a plastic alto, pinist Bud Powell was stone drunk from the opening bell, and Dizzy Gillespie kept popping offstage to check on the status of the first Rocky Marciano-Jersey Joe Walcott heavyweight championship bout.' *

Vinyl has the generic matt finish black and bright silver printed company labels with upper company logo - housed in a fully laminated picture cover with alternate artwork compared to the American release - manufactured from a one-piece card stock with upper and lower extension flips glued on top of back cover.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover):
Vinyl is superlustrous and with only the slightest signs of play or handling - a couple of barely visible sleeve marks is all - perfect labels - straight near mint.
Cover has a barely noticeable lower edge wrinkle combine with a few tine ones from spine - otherwise opening wrinkle - a little corners rubbing... at least a close to near perfect/excellent cover. Cover has offset printed slightly misaligned, ca 5 mm, whih has has no effetct on grading. Cover is graded straight near mint.
