Rare original 1966 US Londonlabel 11-track 1st pressing LP - a solid and heavy, rigid vinyl pressing on the generic dark blue & silver company labels with boxed "London" logo on top and "Stereophonic" banner above centre hole.
Aftermath was the first 'true stereo' Rolling Stones album and the US version has an alternate tracklisting compared to the UK version featuring 'paint It Black', instead of 'Mother's little helper', 'Out of time', 'What To Do' and 'take It or Leavy It'.
Vinyl is pressed by the Bestway Products pressing plant, Mountainside, NJ, and has machine stamped (ms) and handwritten (hw) matrix information:
Side 1: ZAL 7259 1A (ms) 6-3-66 (hw)
Side 2: ZAL 7260 1A (ms) 6-4-66 (hw)
which to the best of our knowledge stresses that this is the first pressing.
Vinyl is held in a generic era specific company add inner sleeve and ultimately in a back pasted alternate picture cover with boxed company logo on lower right front and instruction to 'play this record only on stereophonic equipment' on the reverse.
Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover):
Vinyl is superbright and has a very few superlight and far from audible surface marks combined with a touch of sleeve wear - perfect labels - graded at least close to near perfect/excellent overall.
Cover is still in its original - but opened - shrink wrapping - has slight ringwear at spine and light opeening corners and opening edge rubbing - graded straight near perfect - a simply more than decent copy of this hard to find original US Rolling Stones pressing.
Tracklisting:
Side 1:
Info: 1. Paint It Black
2. Stupid Girl
3. Lady Jane
4. Under My Thumb
5. Doncha Bother Me
6. Think
Side 2:
