Rare original 7-track 1968 UK Columbia label 7-track stereo vinyl LP on the generic black company labels with silver printing and top blue "Columbia" text and note-logo.
Machine stamped matrix information is:
Side 1: YAX 3633-1, mother/stamper 1 G
Side 2: YAX 3634-1, mother/stamper 1 A
stressing that this copy was manufactured from the 1st master matrix, the first set of mothers... the very first Side 1 stamper and the 3rd Side 2 stamper... very early stampers - within the first few hundreds copies pressed.
Vinyl is held in an era specific company add inner sleeve and ultimately in the original front laminated Hipgnosis designed flipback picture cover manufactured by Garrod and Lofthouse.
Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG++ (Cover):
Vinyl is superlustrous - has a touch of sleeve wear - a very few thin, superlight and barely visible marks far from needle induced. Side 1 label has a single or two barely noticeable spindle traces - Side 2 none - centre hole itself is clean. This is obviously an album barely played and handle well when so - very, very nice.
Cover has some light edge wrinkles - transcending to back extension flips - a single short and light one along opening- otherwise almost no wear to laminate itself and only just a touch of corners wear and opening edge rubbing... nothing alarming - a very nice cover graded near perfect - hard to come by in such beautiful condition.
