Rare original 1956 USA Chess label 2-track 7" single on the generic blue and silver company labels: silver top, blue Chess-logo and blue chess-pieces - blue background and silver printing in the bottom.

This copy has been mailed out for promotional purposes and is housed in a generic die cut brown paperbag sleeve with a "Chess-Checker-Argo Record Company" sticker on front and a "Only Time Will Tell" sticker on reverse along with rubberstamped "Sep 27 - 56" release data on back - a promotional copy.

"Time Will Tell" is a slower r&b-ballad - "Take It Easy Greasy" is an early rock'n'roll/rockabilly gem - a followup to Bobby Charles' breakthrough single "See You Later Alligator".

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+ (Sleeve):
Vinyl has a touch of sleeve wear - plays amazing with barely any noise except just a little crackling in the soundlessparts. B-side has a few of tiny 'craters' of which the largest of these results in a extremely faint bumpy sound during a couple of spins.
Labels are very nice - a couple of light stains - minor signs of wear - playingtime 1.58 is written with pencil on Side B.

Company sleeve has gentle vinyl outline, NO splits - light wrinkling and tiny rips along the upper opening - a glue-like stain on the company sticker - overall a very nice copy.
