First Album - Original UK Stereo Issue

Extremely rare 1972 UK Regal Zonophone/EMI label 12-track vinyl LP - one of the most obscure and sought after albums from the start-1970ies Britsih country-folk-rock scene.

Vinyl has the generic dark red company labels with silver printing - labels has boxed EMI logo at bottom.

Vinyl has machine stamped matrix info:
Side 1: SRZA 8509 A1-U, mother/stamper: 1G
Side 2: SRZA 8509 B1-U, mother/stamper: 1R
verifying that this copy is manufactured from the first mother and a set of the first stampers - as such within all probability from the first batch.

Vinyl is housed in a lightly textured gatefold picture cover with lyrics in inner spread - printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.

Vinyl: Near perfect, VG++:
Side 1 vinyl has a single barely noticeable sleeve mark in the last track - otherwise supershiny and clean. Side 2 is plain perfect - lustrous and without any signs of play what so ever.

Labels: Very Good Plus, VG+/ Near Perfect, VG++:
Side 1 label has a small tear in the 'eg' region in the 'Regal' text. I assume this is a manufacturing defect since nttle dio other signs of use or handling - like sticker glue- or solvent residue - are present.
Side 2 label has a single barely noticeable spindlemark - obviously and album barely played - probably just tried on and stored.

Cover: Very good plus, VG+:

Front and back cover has overall faint age-discolouration spots - manifesting like small faintly yellow spots in the otherwise mostly clean white and textures surface.
Cover is characterised by minor upper and lower opening corner dents, and a larger lower spine corner dent. The visual effect is more pronounced on back than on front.

The front opening corner dents are barely noticeable - very light wrinkling. Upper front and back spine corner and back opening corners appers more pressurised - lower front and back spine corner is a combination of these.

Cover has intact seams except for a worn through area against lower back spine on lower back - otherwise only very light upper seam wear, light shelf and spine wear - a little dirt and discolouration on spine. Cover is graded straight VG+.
