Scarce original 9-track 1969 Dutch Fontana LP - the debut album by superb anglo-american sextet which sounds were dipped in the ranchy and swampy free-freak currents swamp that defined the period around 1970... not too far from the blusy escapades of early Captain Beefheart, The Deviants, Panama Limited or The Edgar Broughton Band... formed by Blackburn saxophonist Chris Mercer and steel guitarist Glenn Ross Campbell from bluesy acid cult rockers from San Diego, US, The Misunderstood.

Vinyl has the generic blue and top silver company mid-grid labels - presented in custom gatefold picture sleeve different to UK release... album still featuring a fruit covered stillof burlesque model Zelda Plum.

For those into the machine stamped matrix trail ff information:
Side 1: AA 847 901 1Y 1 ℗ 1969 670 1 1 ?
Side 2: AA 847 901 2Y 1 ℗ 1969 670 1 1 3
Suggesting that laquer cutting, plating and pressing of this album was done from the first mastering, the first set of mothers and early stampers by the Baarn, Netherlands, located N.V. Philips Phonografische Industrie plant

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl)/VG++ (Labels)/VG+ (Cover)
Vinyl has light mostly sleeve inflicted wear... a nice VG+ - labels has a light degree of spindletraces... a handfull or so... almost no wear to spindlehole itself. Labels are graded near mint. Vinyl plays great... just a little faint crackling in the start but nothing when the blues dynamics starts.

Front and back cover are very nice... a single crease along openings and hardly any scuffing. Inner spread is almost perfect. Cover has a little creasing from edges - small, light and superficial - intact but slightly rubbed seams and spine seam and opening edges. Corners are likewise nice.. a nice VG+ cover with just minor imperfections - nothing major.
