'In January of 2003 Julian Cope selected it as the album of the month, calling it a "a shamanic rock?n?roll album made by the ultimate chancer/huckster/gleeman."[4] Italian critic Piero Scaruffi awarded the album a seven out of ten, noting it as a predecessor to both glam and punk music.[5] He selected it as the third best album belonging to the glam genre and one of the best records to be released in 1968.[6] Less enthusiastic was music journalist Robert Christgau, who rated it "E", his second-worst rating (on a scale of A+ to E-), and stated, "I don't understand how he continues to earn a living, but he does." wikipedia.org
