Rare original 1966-67 Decca UK 14-track stereo UK LP - on the 1st blue & silver stereo label with large fonted and unboxed Decca logo, circular 'ffss' logo at the the top, 'Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound' silver banner above centre hole.
Labels has 1966 and copyright information are to the left of centre hole, K/T taxcode and catalogue number to the right. Label has a deep groove ca. 1 cm from perimeter. Label information itself stresses that this copy has the first Decca stereo labels spanning from the beginning of 1965 to summer of 1966.
Vinyl has machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: XARL-7209-2W, mother/stamper 1 A, taxcode KT
Side 2: XARL-7210-2W, mother/stamper 2B BH, taxcode KT
indicating that this is the 2nd pressing within the original 1st unboxed label issues.
Vinyl is kept in a generic protective company inner sleeve and ultimately in a non-flipback Robert Stace picture sleeve "Clarifoil" laminated on front and over the spine.
Condition: VG (vinyl & labels)/VG+ (Cover):
Vinyl still retains its original lustre and has a few light and not so light - but altogether inaudible - surface lines - combined with some degree of faint sleeve wear. Side 1 label has no spindlemarks - Side 2 some degreeog slightly scattered spindletraces - labels has just a touch of wear to centrehole itself. Vinyl is overall graded VG - but sounds wonderfull - with only the slightest noise in quiet passages and inbetween tracks - great dynamics - fine tone.
Labels has the Decca Design 8 / Version 2.
Front picture cover has a some degree of light edges, vinyl outline and opening wrinkles - a couple of more profound ones in lower corners. Back cover is remarkable clean - has a single mid-upper right age stain - otherwise barely any age discolouration.
Seams are intact - spine just a little pressurised, but easily readable - lower spine corner has a little dent, the others barely any wear - a very nice VG+ cover and overall a very decent listening copy.
Innersleeve is Decca no. 5 used from 1967-69.
