'For two years now, the Spires That In The Sunset Rise have been wowing Chicago audiences playing with everyone from Pelt, Charalambides, Faun Fables to The Strangulated Beatoffs. Their music is truly their own, perhaps spiritually recalling bands like the Raincoats, Angelblood, Current 93, The Ex, Comus, Plastic Ono Band or Erica Pomerance. The group is made up of three Manson-esque young harpies who hail from southern Illinois.
