Frozen is 1st single from Madonna’s highly successful and Grammy Award winning album Ray Of Light. Written and produced by Madonna and Patrick Leonard in collaboration with William Orbit saw a new change in Madonna’s music going a more electronic way than ever before.

The music video was shot by Chris Cunningham in a dessert at night in California showing Madonna with a black wig and a gothic new look. The video won a MTV Music Award for Best Special Effects in a video.

Frozen was a massive success peaking at no. 2 on Billboard Top 100 and no. 1 on Billboard Dance Club Play. The single went straight to no. 1 in the UK and went to no. 1 in Spain, Greece, Finland, Italy, Hungary and Scotland. It was a Top 5 hit everywhere else.
