Scarce 2000 US Maverick/Warner Bros. Limited Edition of Music in Blue Hardback Edition.

Music is Madonna’s 8^th studio album and it’s produced by Mirwaïs Ahmadzaï with additional production by William Orbit, who produced the highly successful and Grammy Award winning 1998 album Ray Of Light. The album incorporates different genres like dance-pop and electronica with influences from funk, house, rock, country and folk. It was Madonna in an entire new way.

The album was a commercial success topping the album charts in more than 23 countries selling more than 4 million copies in the first 10 days. The album was nominated for 5 Grammy Awards winning 1 for Best Recording Package.

3 singles were released from this album Music (which went to no. 1 in 25 countries), Don’t Tell Me (which was a Top 5 hit in many contries and finally What It Feels Like For A Girl. The song Impressive Instant (which Madonna wanted as 4^th single, but Warner Bros. didn’t agree) was released as a promo and ended up topping Billboards Hot Dance Club Play chart.

In most countries the Music album also contains the smash hit single American Pie, which was part of the film The Next Best Thing, but the song wasn’t part of the USA edition of the album.

In 2001 Madonna went on tour to support both the Ray Of Light and Music albums with her Drowned World Tour. The tour grossed over $75 million, making it the highest grossing tour by a solo artist in 2001.
