Rare original 1970 UK Dawn label 17-track 2LP Set - the debut from roaring, energetic avant garde/free jazz trio John Surman on baritone & soprano saxes, bass clarinet and bassist Barre Phillips as well as Stu Martin on drums - signed to Pye Records' then newly formed progressive imprint, Dawn Records.

Vinyl has the generic orange company labels with top boxed and stylized sunset logo above fat lettering, outline company name - vinyl are housed in a matte finish gatefold picture cover with large musician photos, tracklisting and credits - this copy does not the 'Cow' motif fold-out poster - however it does come with a large fold-out promo poster and includes the hype sticker.

Vinyl has machine stamped (ms) matrix information - otherwise handetched (he):

Condition: NM (Records 1 Vinyl and Labels/Exc (Record 2 Vinyl and Labels)/NM (Poster)/NM (Sticker)/VG+ (Cover):
Includes Near Mint sticker and Near Mint promo poster, no 'Cow' poster. Record 2 has a touch of sleeve scuffing - as well as fint and faint sleeve residue - mostly visible in trail offs. Everything inaudible - graded Close to Near Mint/Excellent. Record 1 is very Close to Mint.
Labels has from 1 to 2 light, simple and superficial spindletraces - Record 2, Side 1 is Mint - Near Mint labels.
Cover has a spot of sticker glue residue matching the size of the sticker - a couple of light and very small creases from front and back spine - a single light one on front and back as well. Cover has very hardly noticeable corner dings/softenings - otherwise a remarkable clean cover - easily graded VG+.
