The old troll moved heavy and slow. A lonely figure with name forgotten and deeds unsung. A creature of dark woods and silvery lakes. Of rolling hills, shadowy vales, and frost in the wind. Now all had gone to quiet. The trees had withered, the rivers run dry. Like tears on beds of blackened soil.

The troll sat and sighed. The burden of grief like a barrow on its back. Soon it would crawl inside and rest its weary bones. There would be no getting up. There would be no moving on. The ashen trail had ended. Under the dying glare of distant fires. With nothing left to burn.

They say that the barrow still stands where only tunes and tales can reach. And that the magick of aeons past still dwells within. Buried in bones that time has turned to dust. Waiting for the breath that scatters. And seeds the barren land.

Askemanden and Mosekonen followed the ancient path that winds its way through winter's dream to Trollgrav. They broke the seal and heard the world eternal. Blowing specks of sparkling dust on their strips of tape magnetic.
