Congratulations - 2023 Danish Indisciplinarian label 10-track LP

The Copenhagen hardcore act EYES will release its second album 'Congratulations' on 3 February 2023 via Indisciplinarian. The band's two previous releases, the self-titled debut EP from 2018 and the debut album 'Underperformer' from 2020, made it clear that EYES is a band with its own path and something on its heart and mind.

With its genre-defying musical approach and introspective generational lyrics, 'Underperformer' was a breakthrough on the hardcore scene. Despite suffering from a world pandemic, the band left an indelible impression with appearances at festivals such as Copenhell and by:Larm.

EYES' new album is called 'Congratulations', although currently is not that much to shout hurray for here on the planet. The album is a further development and refinement of EYES' sound and style, where the band focuses even more than before on melody, strange hooks and deep grooves through the ten songs, which collectively form an unpredictable, rough rocking and catchy hardcore record, razor sharp produced by Jacob Bredahl. However, the precise songwriting and immediacy of the music happen without renouncing the ever-lurking chaos, which is a basic element of the band's sound, style and approach. A chaos which is a basic feeling in the band's very being; an existential turmoil that strikes out and strikes in lead singer Victor Kaas's lyrics and delivery of the same.
