Original 1967 UK RCA Victor label 11-track LP issue of Bay Area psychedelic combos great groundbreaking acidic folk-rock-based 2nd album. The original UK release has a different running order compared to the US release - it includes Don't Slip Away, Come Up The Years and Chauffeur Blues, from the Jefferson Airplane Takes Off album that wasn't released in UK until 1971. The UK release omits the tracks Plastic Fantastic Lover, White Rabbit and She Has Funny Cars which was included in the US release.

Vinyl has the generic silver printed black company labels with large curved RCA Victor company text in white along top - just above red encircled RCA logo and 'Surrealistic Pillow' text.

Vinyl is housed in an original era specific 'Made In England' printed ricepaper inner sleeve - ultimately in a front laminated single pocket picture cover. For those into the machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: T2PY9332-1K, mother/stamper 1 U, taxcode KT
Side 2: T2PY9336-1K, mother/stamper 1 U, taxcode KT
a typeface suggesting that this album was pressed by the New Malden, Surrey, basey Decca Record Co. Ltd. pressing plant from a laquer cutting done at Decca Studios by mastering engineer Anthony Hawkins - this copy was manufactured from the first mastering, the second stamper.

Condition: VG+(+) (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+ (Cover):
Vinyl is overall bright and shiny - has just a light degree of sleeve inflicted only wear - graded close to near mint/excellent.
Labels are nice - without major imperfections... some degree of fine and light spindlewear - looks like a few handfuls, slightly scattered ones. Labels has a little centerhole wear indicating that this album was listened to quite a few times, but handled carefully when so.
Vinyl is overall graded close to near mint/excellent.

Cover is nice - has quiete a few minor creases from edges - three more pronounced ones along front opening. Unlaminated back has noxt to no signs of handling or storage - hardly any smudgiong - a few laminate only against spine is all. Seams are intact and straight - spine a little pressurised but easily readable - opening edges with very little rubbing. This is all in all a simply extremely attractive VG+ cover... no major imperfections - only the front creasing  keeps this one from near mint.
