2018 reissue of Lou Reeds first live album - originally recorded at Howard Stein's Academy of Music, New York City, December 21, 1973, and subsequently released the year after - the albums features four of Reeds his best-loved renderings of Velvets classic: Rock 'n' Roll, White Light/White Heat, Heroin and Sweet Jane...

Sharp and very direct chief music critic and senior editor for The Village Voice, Robert Christgau, wrote in his 1981 Record Guide Rock Albums of the Seventies that "At its best, Reed's live music brings the Velvets into the arena in a clean redefinition of heavy, thrilling without threatening to stupefy. 'Lady Day,' the slow one here, would pass for uptempo at many concerts, the made-in-Detroit guitars of Steve Hunter and Dick Wagner mesh naturally with the unnatural rhythms, and Reed shouts with no sacrifice of wit. I could do without Hunter's showboating 'Introduction,' and I've always had my reservations about 'Heroin,' but this is a live album with a reason for living."

Vinyl is 'Remastered Under Lou's Dirct Personal Supervision' to vinyl and pressed onto 180 gram audiophile vinyl - delivered in a gatefold picture cover featuring the original 1974 artwork
