Songs For Swinging Larvae - Original 1981 US Ralph label 16-track LP

Scarce 1981 US Ralph label 16-track LP - the debut album by coastal Portsmouth, UK, avant-rock duo which unique expression is an amalgam of all sorts of transformed or treated instruments... often manipulated to the point beyond recognition or placed in tape loops... Lord Lucan reviewed the album on Julian Copes Headheritage website - and wrote about the opening track 'Lime Jelly Grass' that "Voices of high-pitched derangement throw manipulated syllables of nonsense backwards and forwards, then a perverse fuzz bass line lopes along as splintered pieces of musique concrete momentarily jump in. An out-of-tune bouzouki comes in with a perverted nursery rhyme line, and military snare and backwards vocalisations puncuate that bass line." 

Vinyl has the generic start 1980ies company labels with yellow boxes of black printed information on purplish background and the mid-left  company logo with the stylized, dancing man surrounded by company name at top and right - housed in an generic era specific company add inner sleeve - ultimately in a matt finish & stiff card picture cover.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/M- (Cover):
Vinyl is extremely nice - bright shiny and with only a touch of sleeve inflicted scuffs or lines. perfect labels. Eveything adds up to a near mint grading.
Cover is superb - almost no signs of handling or storage - extremely close to mint.
