Rare original 1967 US Elektra label Mono 1st pressing LP - Arthur Lee's Los Angeles, California, based psychedelic rock/baroque pop masterpiece.. their 2nd album.

Richie Unterberger granted the release a full five stars in his Allmusic review writing 'Love broadened their scope into psychedelia on their sophomore effort, Arthur Lee's achingly melodic songwriting gifts reaching full flower. It's only half a great album, though| the seventh and final track, "Revelation," is a tedious 19-minute jam that keeps Da Capo from attaining truly classic status.'
'Revelation' would in the however be one of the bands most influential tracks - being covered by Barracudas, Alice Cooper, Billy Bragg, Sidewinders, Fuzztoners a.o.

'Da Capo' spawned four singles at the time: '7 & 7 Is/No. Fourteen', the withdrawn 'Stephanie Knows Who/Orange Skies', 'She Comes In Colors (edit)/Orange Skies' and 'Que Vida!/Hey Joe'.

This is the original 1st mono issue on the generic bronze/golden company label with upper large outline 'E' logo - just above company name in large white fonts.

Vinyl has handwritten matrix information:
Side 1: EKL-4005-A 1-4 11-66 MR (Encircled) ¢9913 M (-3)
Side 2: EKL-4005-B 1-4 11-66 MR (Encircled) ¢9913-X M (-3)

Condition: VG+(+) (vinyl and labels)/VG+ (Cover):

Vinyl is bright and shiny - has a very few light and inaudible surface lines - paired with a light degree of sleeve inflicted wear - vinyl is in itself graded straight nice upper VG+.

Labels are nice - a little manufacturing defect affects the catalogue number on Side 2 - otherwise perfect labels.

Vinyl is overall graded close to near mint/excellent.

Cover has a touch of wear along front vinyl outline and along spine edges.
Seams are intact except for less than a third inch mid spine shelling obliterating 'apo' in the title .- otherwise perfectly readable. Seams and opening edges are otherwise extremely nice with just a touch of rubbing.

Spine corners has very mild dents - upper opening corner a marginal one, lower opening a more pronounced but not grave dent. Corners are very slightly rubbed - lower opening a little more - all in all a very nice VG+ cover.
