Scarce original 1969 US Pressed Epic label 10-track LP - influential San Francisco debut LP - '...encompassing styles from proto-'70s punk (want to bet the Ramones wore out copies of this album?) to '50s New Orleans R&B, country music, and even ragtime'... Allmusics Bruce Eder wrote in his review: "... the whole album achieves a kind of otherworldly continuum, like something out of a strange and wonderful corner of the universe that - though none knew it at the time - pointed the way to a coming decade of achievement by the likes of the Ramones, Jonathan Richman..."

Vinyl has the generic yellow and black printed company labels with top oval company logo and without 'A Product Of CBS' lower rimprint..

Vinyl is housed in a sturdy - American style - single pocket cover.

Vinyl has handetched and machine stamped matrix information:
Side 1: P o XSB 150672-1C, mother/stamper A2
Side 2: P o XSB 150673-1C, mother/stamper A3
- seems that this album to be pressed by Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Pitman, from mothers and stampers provided by CBS Inc.'s manufacturor of metalpart for vinyl pressing purposes, Customatrix. The 1C suggests this copy to be from the first mastering... a first pressing.

Condition: VG++ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+ (Cover):
Vinyl is bright and shiny - hardly any sleeve inflicted wear... a very minor couple of pressure marks before the music starts on Side 1 - easily graded near mint in itself.
Labels have a single or two slightly complex spindletraces - light and superficial though - graded near mint as well.
Vinyl is overall graded near mint.

Cover has very slight rubbing against top and bottom vinyl outline on front - against top and bottom edges on back.
Top seam is almost without wear - spine completely clean, tight and easily readable - bottom seam has very light wear except that it is worn through 1 cm towards opening. Opening edges are wear-free.
Corners has overall just a touch to a little rubbing and just faint denting to top corners. This is a simply very nice cover with a series of marginal imperfection - graded close to near mint/excellent.
