Scarce original 1969 US Columbia label 15-track stereo 2LP set - the 1st pressing vinyl of Bloomfield and Koopers follow up to the 'Super Session' venture with Stephen Stills in '68 - recorded live at Bill Graham's Fillmore Auditorium, San Francisco, over three nights, September 26, 27, 28, 1968, with bassist and Merl Saunders and Jerry Garcia collaborator John Kahn and Paupers ad Lighthouse drummer Skip Prokop - featuring very early live performances by Carlos Santana and Elvin Bishop.

Vinyls has the generic red company labels with black center and white rimprint: top curved company name, lower '360 Sound' arrow logos and a boxed camera eye logo at ech side.machine stamped matrix info:

Side 1: o XSM138353-1C (ms) reverse 'S' (hw) B3 (6 o'clock, hw)
Side 2: o XSM138354-1C (ms) reverse 'S' (hw) A (6 o'clock, hw)
Side 3: o XSM138913-1F (ms) reverse 'S' (hw)
Side 4: o XSM138912-1E (ms) reverse 'S' (hw)

the -1 one suggests that this album was cut from the first mastering - the first tape which means the first mix or equalization - as such a first pressing.
C laquers were normally send to Columbias Terra Haute, Indiana pressing plant, and E and F laquers to the Pitman, New Jersey pressing plant. The reverse handetched 'S' following the matrix number manifests an album pressed by Columbias Santa Maria pressing pland, manufactured from fathers, mothers and stampers fabricated by Customatrix - the 'o' before the matrix number - who handled metalworks for Columbia.

Vinyl is housed in generic era specific company add inner sleeves and ultimately in an inner pasted gatefold picture cover.

Condition: VG+(+) (Record 1 Vinyls & labels)/VG++ (Record 2 Vinyls & labels)/VG+ (Cover):

Vinyls are wonderfully lustrous - Side 1 has a single very light hairline paired with a little sleeve scuffing, Side 2 through 4 has barely any signs of play or handling - a combination of close to near mint and straight near mint.

All labels are mint and vinyl is very conservatively graded close to near mint, VG+(+), and near mint (VG++).

Cover is nice - has extremely faint front ringwear... a little more to lower vinyloutline that top. Front and back cover centers are otherwise perfect.

Seams are without splits apart from a mm or so against lower opening corners - top seam has a light rubbing towards spine corner, lower seam more continous very light wear which grows more manifest towards corners.

Spine is nice and perfectly readable but has rubbed seams a couple of cm's towards the likewise more manifest rubbed top and bottom corners. Top opening corners have very light rubbing - lower opening corners have a slightly more pronounced degree of wear.
All in all a simply very nice cover - with beautiful centers but imperfections towards corners - cover is a very nice VG+.
