Rare original 1969 US Vanguard label promotional issue 12-track LP - the debut album by Memphis born country folk singer/songwriter - described as "the greatest songwriter you never heard." by his friend - Big Star producer and a Memphis music legend, Jim Dickinson.

This is a promotional issue manufactured with black printed white labels with top curved company name and mid-lower horseman logo.
Vinyl has 1A/1A matrix endings and is housed in a generic era specific die cut company inner sleeve - ultimately in a promotional issue stickered, front pasted picture cover.

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl and Labels)/VG+(+) (Cover):
Vinyl is beautifully shiny - just a touch of sleeve inflicted wear - next to nothing. Vinyl is as such near mint, but when hold askew under bright light it displays a scattered pattern of unknown origin? as it does not seem to be pressure or needle inflicted, we lean towards the explanation that it simply is a discoloration from the manufacturing process - under all circumstances completely inaudible.

Labels are mint - this is definitely not an album tried on more than a couple of times judging from the shine and the overall condition - it sounds superb despite the discolouration - vinyl is conservatively, visually graded VG+.

Cover has beautiful front and back cover centers - hardly any ringwear... just a touch to upper and lower mid-front. Seams are tight, spine easily readable, opening edges without rubbing.

Lower opening corner has a very mild dent, lower spine and upper opening corners more pronounced dents. Top spine corner is perfect.
All in all a simply extremely nice cover which has only more marginal imperfections, which has almost no impact of the viewing of the cover - graded close to near mint/excellent.
