Þursabit - Original 1979 Fálkinn label 10-Track LP

Rare original 1979 Fálkinn label 10-track LP pressing of Icelandic folk-prog quintets second album.

Dag Erik Asbjørnsen describes their sound in 'Scented Gardens Of The Mind: "In common with Gryphon, Þursaflokkur used the bassoon abundantly, often combined with electric guitars and piano. Their arrangements were always complex, often featuring elements of symphonic chamber rock in the vein of Gentle Giant (in English their name meant "The Icelandic Flock Of Giants")." and elaborates that their 2nd album is "very worthwhile" "...with a dash of Genesis thrown into the previous mixture."

The vinyl states the band name as Þursaflokkur, although the back cover and spine states it as Hinn islenski Þursaflokkur.

Vinyl is accompanied by ca 11,5" square illustrated fold-out card lyric insert - ultimately held in a picture cover.

Condition: VG+ (Vinyl & Labels)/VG+(+) (Inner Sleeve)/VG+ (Cover):
The vinyl itself is very nice and shiny - a few harmless marks and scuffs - of which the majority are sleeve inflicted - can be seen under a strong lightsource.
Labels displays almost no signs of handling - vinyl is overall a very nice VG+.

The cover has some light to pronounced wrinkles from edges, a 1 - 2 cm stripe of sun discolouration along spine.

Seams has almost no wear - spine is easily readable - lightly dented and rubbed corners - cover is overall graded straight VG+.
